Nashik | October 21, 2025: In a major breakthrough, the Ambad Police Crime Detection Unit has arrested the absconding accused, Nikhil Madhukar Nikumbh, in connection with the Satpur Hotel Aura firing case. The arrest was made from Mira-Bhayander in Thane district.
According to police sources, while tracing the wanted criminals, Police Constable Bhagwan Jadhav and Police Naik Bhushan Sonawane received a tip-off about the whereabouts of Nikumbh. Acting promptly on the information and under the guidance of Senior Inspector Jagvendra Singh Rajput, the team conducted a search operation in Thane and successfully apprehended the suspect. He has since been handed over to the Satpur Police for further investigation.
Following his arrest, Nikumbh was produced before the court after being presented at the Crime Branch Unit-1 office. The court has remanded him to police custody until October 24.
The operation was carried out by Police Sub-Inspector Motilal Patil, Assistant Police Inspectors Dilip Sagale and Suhas Khirsagar, Police Head Constables Prakash Bodke and Yogesh Chavan, Police Naik Bhushan Sonawane, and Police Constables Bhagwan Jadhav and Charudatt Nikam. Valuable technical assistance was provided by PSI Tarade and her technical analysis team.
