Nashik: Prime Suspect Bhushan Londhe Arrested at Nepal Border in Satpur Firing Case

Nashik | December 3, 2025: The prime suspect in the Satpur firing case, Bhushan Londhe, along with his associate, has been arrested at the Nepal border. The operation was carried out by a team from Nashik City Police Crime Branch Unit-2.

Since the incident, both Bhushan Londhe and Prince Singh had been on the run. On November 15, a Unit-2 team had traveled to Badaut, Baghpat district in Uttar Pradesh, after receiving information that the suspects were hiding there. However, sensing the presence of police, Londhe and his associate Rahul Gaikwad jumped from their residence to escape. Londhe sustained a serious leg injury and a fracture during the attempted getaway.

Meanwhile, Crime Branch Unit-2 officers — API Hemant Todkar (in-charge), Dr. Samadhan Hire, and Havaldar Prakash Mahajan — continued technical surveillance and learned that the accused were moving between Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. This intelligence was reported to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Kiran Kumar Chavan, DCP (Zone-2) Kishor Kale, and ACP (Crime) Sandip Mitke, who authorized the dispatch of a dedicated search team to Rajasthan.

Acting on the approval, a team comprising API Dr. Samadhan Hire, PSI Yashwant Bendkoli, ASI Shankar Kale, Havaldars Sunil Aher, Prakash Mahajan, Atul Patil, and Constable Mahesh Khandbahale proceeded to Kotputli, Rajasthan. Despite extensive technical analysis and continuous surveillance, the suspects could not be located there.

Relying on human intelligence gathered on the ground, the team learned that the prime suspects — Bhushan Londhe and Prince Singh — had moved closer to the Nepal border. The team then traveled from Kotputli to Maharajganj in Uttar Pradesh, near the border. After sustained efforts, a trap was laid, and both suspects were successfully detained in Kolhui, Maharajganj (U.P.).

The arrested individuals have been identified as:

  1. Bhushan Prakash Londhe (35), resident of Swar Baba Nagar, Satpur, Nashik
  2. Prince Chitrasen Singh (36), resident of Flat No. 201, Gurukrupa Apartment, Jagtap Mala, CIDCO, Nashik

Both were produced before the Maharajganj court, where a transit warrant was obtained. They are being brought back to Nashik by the Unit-2 team for further legal action.

The swift and determined operation by the Nashik Police has drawn praise from citizens. The crackdown was executed under the guidance of Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, DCP (Crime) Kiran Kumar Chavan, DCP (Zone-2) Kishor Kale, ACP (Crime) Sandip Mitke, and ACP (Ambad Division) Sachin Bari.

The operation was successfully carried out by Crime Branch Unit-2 officers — API Hemant Todkar (in-charge), API Dr. Samadhan Hire, PSI Yashwant Bendkoli, ASI Shankar Kale, Havaldars Sunil Aher, Prakash Mahajan, Atul Patil, and Constable Mahesh Khandbahale. The technical surveillance team, including Woman API Jaya Tarde and supporting staff, played a crucial role throughout the investigation.
