Heatwave Alert for Nashik and Dhule on March 11; IMD Issues Yellow Alert

Nashik (Correspondent): A heatwave is expected in Nashik and Dhule on March 11, as predicted by the Colaba Observatory and the India Meteorological Department (IMD). A Yellow Alert has been issued for these regions.

Across Maharashtra, except for North Maharashtra, both minimum and maximum temperatures are rising. However, in North Maharashtra, cool winds from the north, blowing at a speed of 1 to 2 km per hour, have maintained a slight chill in the atmosphere. On Friday, Nashik recorded a minimum temperature of 12.4°C and a maximum of 34.9°C.

Heatwave Expected in Nine States, Including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, During Holi:
Starting from March 9 until Holi, consecutive western disturbances will impact the weather. According to IMD scientist Soma Sen, these disturbances will likely cause storms and rainfall in the western Himalayan region between March 9 and March 15-16, with chances of snowfall. From March 10, weather changes are expected in South India, with heavy rainfall likely in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, temperatures are expected to rise in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.
