Traffic signals to remain shut from 2 to 4 in the afternoon; Major junction signals will continue to operate.
Nashik (Correspondent): As the temperature in the city is hovering around 40 degrees Celsius, the heat tends to get intense since morning. When the signal is red, motorists have to stand still in the heat. Therefore, the decision to close all the signals on the highway along with the city signals from 2 to 4 in the afternoon has been taken by the police administration.
In order to provide relief to the citizens from the scorching heat, the City Traffic Division of Police has decided to shut various signals in different parts of the city during the afternoon. In this regard, the Police Commissionerate has informed the Smart City Company to take appropriate action. In terms of traffic safety, signals with more congestion like Dwarka, CBS, etc., will only be kept operational. Vehicles will get relief at signals located in low-traffic density areas.
Citizens are requested to follow the requisite traffic rules while driving on the roads.
