Nashik: Woman Molested While Waiting for Bus, Attackers Assault Driver and Damage Bus

Nashik (Correspondent): In a disturbing incident reported in the Dwarka area, a woman waiting for a bus late at night was molested by two individuals in an autorickshaw. Following the incident, the accused assaulted the city bus driver and conductor when questioned and also vandalized the bus by pelting stones, breaking its window. A complaint regarding the incident has been registered at the Bhadrakali Police Station.

According to the police, the complainant, a female passenger, was standing at the Bodhle Nagar bus stop around 10 PM on Thursday (10th). While she was waiting for the bus, the autorickshaw driver and his companion, who were parked nearby, approached her and began making obscene gestures and indecent inquiries about her destination. Despite the woman ignoring them, the accused followed her in their rickshaw after she boarded a city bus, leaving her frightened.

The woman informed the bus driver about the incident. When the bus stopped in the Dwarka area and the driver attempted to confront the men, they began verbally abusing and physically assaulting both the driver and the conductor. One of the accused even threatened the woman, made obscene remarks in front of her, and pelted stones at the bus, shattering one of its windows and causing damage.

The Bhadrakali Police have filed a case, and further investigation is being carried out by Constable Yadav Dambale.
