Nashik, February 4, 2026: In view of the massive influx of devotees expected during the Mahashivratri festival, all forms of VIP and protocol darshan at the world-famous Jyotirlinga shrine of Trimbakeshwar Temple will remain completely suspended from February 14 to February 16, 2026.
The decision has been taken under the guidance of the Trust Chairperson and District Judge, Mrs. P. V. Ghule, and Trust Secretary Rahul Subhashchandra Patil. According to an official statement issued by the temple trust, the number of devotees multiplies several times during Mahashivratri, leading to immense pressure on temple administration and security arrangements.
Considering these challenges, and with the objective of ensuring smooth and hassle-free darshan for general devotees, the trust has decided to temporarily discontinue all VIP and protocol darshan facilities during the said period. The move is aimed at effective crowd management and maintaining order during one of the most significant religious events at the shrine.
