Nashik | December 12, 2025: Cyber police raided a bogus call centre operating under the name ‘Swastik Finserv’ in Shikharewadi for allegedly cheating 13 citizens of ₹7,72,500 under the pretext of offering easy loans. The accused, Pawan Mahadu Nikam, a resident of Jail Road, has been arrested, while his female accomplice is currently on the run.
The action followed a complaint received on the Nashik City Police Commissioner’s official WhatsApp helpline, where a citizen reported being defrauded of ₹18,000 by the same call centre. Taking serious note, Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik directed the Cyber Police Station to register an FIR and initiate an investigation.
During the probe, officers discovered that the call centre was being operated by Pawan Nikam along with his partner Preeti alias Mayuri Chaurasia, a resident of Kazipura, Old Nashik. The duo allegedly lured financially distressed individuals with promises of quick loans, collected processing fees, and then disappeared without providing any loan services.
What Police Found During the Raid
The cyber police seized incriminating material worth around ₹80,000, including:
- Registers containing names, mobile numbers, and addresses of citizens
- Scripts detailing what to say during loan-offer calls
- Six files with personal details of multiple individuals
- 33 customer information sheets and declaration forms
- Two receipt books
- Five boxes of visiting cards labelled “RULOANS”
- 94 active SIM cards and 58 empty SIM card packets
- An HP laptop
- Several rubber stamps
- 34 cheques from various banks under different names
- Three mobile phones
Team Behind the Operation
The raid was conducted under the guidance of Police Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Kiran Kumar Chavan, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Crime) Sandeep Mitke.
The operation was executed by Cyber Police Station’s team led by Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Pise, along with API Pratik Patil, Dhiraj Gaware, Havaldars Dhanwate, Patil, Gosavi, and Woman Police Constable Sable.
