Nashik (Correspondent): Hemant Godse has been announced as a candidate from MajaYuti for the Nashik Lok Sabha elections. Finally, the suspense around who would be given the ticket is over, as there was a lot of commotion in the MahaYuti from the Nashik Loksabha seat. Today the name of Hemant Godse has been officially announced by the Shiv Sena.
Amongst all the candidates in the fray, Godse has been finally nominated. He was on the hook ever since the first list of MahaYuti candidates was announced. Godse was in Mumbai, talking to CM Eknath Shinde for several days regarding his candidature.
Some BJP leaders in Nashik were opposing his name. However, Godse’s candidature has been announced despite the opposition of local leaders. So, time will tell what role of the local leaders of BJP play in this elections.
State President of BJP, Chandrashekhar Bawankule met Chhagan Bhujbal. He said that the rift regarding the Nashik seat had been resolved, and thus Godse’s name was announced.
