Nashik (Correspondent): Due to law and order requirements, the Nashik City Police Commissionerate and the Traffic Department have announced a temporary traffic restriction on a major city road. The stretch from Kathe Galli Signal to Nagji Signal on Wadala Road will be closed to all types of vehicles from Wednesday (April 16) midnight until Friday night.
This notification was issued on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner of Police (HQ & Traffic), Chandrakant Khandvi.
As per the order, both sides of the road from Kathe Galli Signal towards Bhabha Nagar, beyond Nagji Signal on Wadala Road, will be closed to vehicular movement. The traffic ban will come into effect from midnight on Wednesday, and motorists are advised to use alternate routes during this period.
Alternative Routes Suggested:
- Vehicles heading from Mumbai Naka towards Bhabha Nagar and Kathe Galli via Pakhali Road should use the Wadala Naka–Dwarka–Wadala Road–Bharat Nagar–Ashoka Marg route.
- Vehicles approaching from Kathe Galli should proceed via the Pune Highway directly towards Dwarka Chowk, then take a left turn towards Mumbai Naka.
These restrictions will be enforced from 12:00 AM on Wednesday night, and compliance is mandatory for all citizens. However, the order clarifies that the restrictions will not apply to police vehicles, government service vehicles, ambulances, hearses, or fire brigade vehicles.
