Nashik (Correspondent): The city of Nashik has once again been rocked by a brutal murder. On Sunday night (April 13), between approximately 11:00 and 11:30 PM, a group of seven to eight assailants instilled terror near the Dnyanpeeth Society, located near Pandavleni, by attacking with swords and stones. In the violent assault, a 20-year-old youth lost his life.
Initial reports suggest that the incident stemmed from an old dispute. Around 11:00 PM on Saturday (13th), the gang launched a premeditated attack on two residents of Gyanganga Society. In the assault, Ramdas Narayan Borade (age 20, resident of Gyanganga Society, near Pandavleni, Nashik) was killed, while Rajesh Sudam Borade (age 20, same address) sustained serious injuries. The gang also vandalized several parked four-wheelers, smashing windows and causing significant property damage.
Upon receiving information about the incident, senior police officials including Deputy Commissioner of Police Monika Raut and Assistant Commissioner of Police Shekhar Deshmukh rushed to the scene, accompanied by other officers and personnel. A case has been registered at the Indiranagar Police Station.
The accused in the case have been identified as:
- Shaukat Farid Shaikh (age 19, resident of Pandavleni)
- Naushad Haji Syed (age 19, resident of Sinnar)
- Nafees Shaikh alias Nafya
- Vijay Sunil Malekar (age 19, resident of Pathardi Phata, Damodar Chowk)
- Rohit Chandrakant Palve (age 18, resident of Ekta Society, behind Pandavleni)
- Nitin Vitthal Ghughe (age 19, resident of Narhari Lawns, Navale Chawl, Pathardi Phata)
- Along with two minors, whose names are withheld for legal reasons.
The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the case. Further inquiries are being led by Assistant Police Inspector Ankolikar.
