Nashik | May 13, 2025 – Unseasonal rainfall has been battering Nashik city for the past few days, causing significant disruption to daily life. Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds were recorded on both Monday and Tuesday, leaving several parts of the city waterlogged and prompting citizens to seek shelter in nearby shops and buildings.

On Monday, the city witnessed a sudden downpour around 2:15 PM, while Tuesday saw similar conditions around 2:45 PM. The sudden and intense rainfall led to widespread inconvenience, as people scrambled to protect themselves from the rain and strong gusts of wind.

Key areas affected included Main Road, Shalimar, Godaghat, Saraf Bazaar, Dwarka CBS, CIDCO, Nashik Road, and Satpur. Water accumulated on major roads, impacting vehicular movement. There were also reports of trees and branches falling in some areas due to the stormy weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, Nashik recorded 5.6 mm of rainfall between 11:30 AM and 2:30 PM on Monday, followed by an additional 15.4 mm between 2:30 PM and 5:30 PM, totaling 21 mm for the day.

The weather has remained unpredictable, swinging between scorching sunshine and unseasonal showers. This volatility has not only disrupted urban life but also raised concerns among farmers, who are facing potential crop damage due to the untimely rain.
