Culptits caught within 12 hours in effective action by Nashik Police
Nashik (Correspondent): In Sahvas Nagar, located behind Kalika Mata Mandir, a 20-year-old youth was attacked with a sharp weapon and killed last night. The police have arrested five suspects within twelve hours, and the search for the other five suspects is underway. There were around 10 people involved in the crime.
According to available information, there had been a dispute between complainant Praveen Bhalekar and some youths at the Haldi function of a wedding, around an year ago. The deceased, Piyush Bhimashankar Jadhav (20), used to be with Praveen always.
Last night, as usual, while Praveen was sitting near his house, Praveen Pundlik Nimbare (19), Roshan Bhagwan Mane (22), Ajay Santosh Shinde (19), Dev Waghmare (19), Aditya Raju Mahale (20), and five others arrived armed with sharp weapons. They attacked Piyush on his chest, stomach, and back with the old grudge in mind. Piyush succumbed to serious injuries. The culprits fled the scene immediately after the incident, and were absconding.
During the search by Police, five of them were apprehended from Bhor Mala (Bhor Farm) in Makhmalabad by the Special Squad of the Crime Branch. The culprits confessed their crime after the police questioning.
All the accused are aged between 19 and 22 and reside in the same area. All the accused have been handed over to the Mumbai Naka police. Police are being lauded for arresting the culprits within 12 hours of the crime. A case has been filed at the Mumbai Naka police station, and further investigations are being carried out by Assistant Police Inspector Patil.
