Technical Glitches Disrupt Class 11 Admission Process on Day One; Students Face Major Hurdles

Mumbai | May 21, 2025: The much-anticipated online admission process for Class 11 across Maharashtra commenced today. However, the very first day was marred by major technical issues on the official admission portal www.mahafyjcadmissions.in, leaving thousands of students and parents distressed.

The admission process was scheduled to go live from 11 AM, allowing students to register and fill in their college preferences online. But soon after the launch, users reported multiple issues, including login failures, slow page loads, and an inability to save entered information. This unexpected technical snag disrupted the initial phase of the process, causing confusion and concern among applicants.

This year marks the first time that the Class 11 admission system has been implemented entirely online across the state. The centralized platform was designed to let students apply to colleges across Maharashtra through a single application form. Despite this convenience, the website’s failure on Day One raised serious questions about the preparedness of the system.

Not just students, but administrative staff at junior colleges also reported difficulties in accessing the platform, which has further slowed down the registration process. The Directorate of Education has acknowledged the technical issues and assured that efforts are underway to resolve them swiftly and restore normal functioning.
